Rare Vintage 1900s American Outdoor storefront Hanging Jeweler Trade Sign. Ive owned this fantastic piece for over 40 years and its in terrific condition for its age. Remarkably intact and attributed to the ed. This is a 19th century antique American outdoor storefront hanging jeweler or. This piece is a double-sided pocket watch advertising sign which features an ornamental cast iron bezel adorned with surrounding embossed letter banners interspersed with floral rosettes. The intact fluted crown and bow or stationary ring are original. Weve replaced the glass with new old stock and had it repainted to match the original. The lettering was also touched up by a period artist. I do have the original hand painted glass (see pictures) the hand-painted clock face, featuring black enameled roman numerals with hour and minute hands, and is comprised of pressed zinc. The clock also lights up and was rewired for safety. The original gilded finish applied to the bezel and banners are fully intact. There is some minor surface wear, discoloration, chipping, etc. Increasingly hard to find these watch trade signs with the original i. This is an outstanding piece. Ive seen one other but this one is in much better condition. This piece also has what I believe to be the original hanging bracket. The item is extremely heavy over 75 lbs.
