Up for sale is a vintage Gates Tires advertising sign measuring roughly 24 inches from tip to tail. This is an original cardboard display with the unpopped easel back still intact, which is getting harder and harder to find. Bright colors, strong graphics, and that classic mid-century Gates styling. Displays great for its age. Light edge wear and small creases as shown. Surface spotting consistent with 1940s-50s cardboard signage. Easel back is unpopped and still attached. No restoration, no touch-ups. Ready to hang or display on a shelf. Size: 24″ x 17″. This original 1940s advertising sign for Orange Crush is in vintage condition. It shows a good amount of wear from age, storage, and display. This sign is made of a cardboard type material, not many of these probably survived this many years. This sign does show wear including stains, marks, scuffs, and other wear. It has a hole at the top where it was hanging. The sign is warped and bent as can clearly be seen in photos. This sign has not been attempted to be cleaned further than a wipe with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. It measures roughly 17 inches wide and 10.5 inches tall. It is marked 1-48, leading me to believe it dates from around 1948. Please view photos closely before purchasing to fully judge this item. This rare piece would make a great addition to your collection. Shortly after the time of posting there will be a second Orange Crush sign listed that matches this one in style and is also marked 1-48.
