Its has to go. This is an original vintage piece of history. This is before the machines, and in some places, like the middle of Kansas, electricity. It is in fair shape for its age. So many of these country store and gas station chests were destroyed just for the signs. Check out the photos carefully, as there are a few scratches and dings over the years. The lids look good closed, but are quite rusted on the bottom. The hinges on the lid are also missing. This is something that could be easily replaced by a sheet metal shop if need be. The pedestal is nice and solid, but the rollers on the bottom rolled their last many years ago. The inside is rusty, but still solid. I pounded on it with my hand, and was good and solid. The hole that you see in the bottom is the drain hole for the water after the ice had melted. I will deliver this within 200 miles of central Kansas for 50.00. Just give me an extra day or 2.
