This diecut Belmont hotel collector’s vintage porcelain advertising sign is in nice salable condition. It is used and was hanging outside. Here is a wonderful old lighted Motel Rooms sign. This sign was produced by Ramond M Price Inc. It is reverse painted glass and lighted. The style of sign is a halo or bar back style and sat on a counter or bar. This company was known for its brewery halo signs like Pabst and others. P Produced other advertising like cash register signs and clocks. They also produced lighted signs for other businesses. A Hotel or Motel ordered this sign from them. We do not have any idea what business it was or what city. There is some paint loss on the glass as well as other parts of the light along with a little patina in spots. The socket is original but the chord has been changed and there is no on off switch so a inline switch would be needed if so desired. We just had the light on a timer and never needed a switch. We used a 15 watt appliance bulb and it seemed to work good and not get to hot. The light does not come with the bulb.. The sign measures 9 inches tall by 10.5 inches wide. Original “MOTEL OFFICE” Sign. 14″ H x 22″ W x 2 D. The original layer says “Authorized Fan Belt Service”. Top layer says: “Motel Office”. This is a great overpainted design that is original to the piece. This sign is heavy and was used (as is) for a motel. Originally painted over the top of another sign, this boasts excellent patina, wear and a layered effect that is very striking and cool. This was not something made to look old or designed after the fact for sale. This is a found object that happens to be two signs in one – the original and the one overpainted. Some rust and paint chipping but that makes this look even cooler. Side mount so it comes out perpendicular from a wall. This is an Authentic Route 66 Vintage Porcelain Neon sign. The Frontier Motel was on Route 66 in Miami Oklahoma. This sign is the original sign that stood over the Motel. I have both sides of the sign. One side is original neon! The other side two of the pieces of neon are original. The sign has been meticulously restored with new transformers, 10 new PK housings, all new wire, plug and electric components. I have a box for the purchaser with all of the original transformers, cords, and electronic components. I also have two of the original spinner lights that were on top of the sign. The frame each side of the porcelain sides are attached to and the metal stand were custom fabricated to hold the weight of the sign and showcase both sides of its beauty. Route 66 Porcelain Neon Motel Signs are so rare to find. It would make an amazing addition to any classic car collection, home, office or man cave! This sign wont last long!
