Very rare and beautiful, ca1930 Reverse-On-Glass Advertising Sign for “Webster Cigars” featuring a wonderful portrait of American Statesman Daniel Webster. This wonderful, Reverse on Glass Sign measures 11 1/2″ by 15 1/2″ including its original, wood frame. The Sign was manufactured for display at a Tobacco or Cigar Shop and features a stunningly beautiful, reverse painted portrait of Daniel Webster along with text that reads “Agency For / Special Seleccion / Webster Cigars”. The Sign extensively uses gold gilt paints and the portrait of Daniel Webster is executed using rich and warm earth tones. NPI or Neon Products Inc of Lima Ohio backlit advertising sign can with a reverse painted Levi’s denim glass insert. Can measures 25 3/4″ long x 7 3/4″ tall x 4 1/4 deep. Offered as found, uncleaned, and unrestored. Turns on when plugged in. Partial label intact on back of can. Piece of foam wedged in between right hand fluorescent fixture and can to keep it in place, because plastic is cracked. Wrinkle paint on can appears to be a really dark blue. Cord is brown plastic. A couple of top screw holes have been enlarged and one is double drilled. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. All sales are final.
