Vintage Wooden Double Sided roadside Sign repair shop gas station handpainted. Found this at an estate sale 2 years ago. This sign is beautiful double sided and hand painted with vibrant colors. Perfect addition for your collection. I couldn’t find anything about empire cycles although it may have been an older motorcycle shop in Amityville NY. The sign has lots of wear as seen in photos but is one of the coolest looking signs I’ve found to date. The twine was used to hang for a photo and has been removed. There are two eye hooks that can be used to hang this, or just put on top of one your tool boxes to display. Sign looks to be made out of 1/2 plywood. The sign is 33″ long by 16 3/4″ wide and 1/2 thick. Please message with any questions. Well what can you say, a giant ear of corn! This was a sign for a roadside farm stand in Ghent, NY. The sign is hand painted on two sheets of tin that are joined around a wooden post. The sign is large 95 1/2″ tall x 24″ wide and is 3 thick in the center where the post is. We have added an iron folk art stand so the piece can stand vertically and can be rotated, but it also looks cool hanging horizontally on a wall. The sign is wonderfully painted with each kernel in nice detail. The sign is on tin and has rust around the edges and bottom where it rested against a barn. There are also bullet holes in the sign, well who couldn’t resist and big target like that. The sign is very solid and is in original as found condition.
