I owned Filomena’s Sweet Shoppe in Mount Kisco, which opened in September of 1979. A local sign painter in Bedford Hills painted this work of art for me. I have a photo here that shows a large box that I put it into after “curving” it. A brought him a vintage Levi’s Jeans poster and asked him if he could duplicate this 1800’s Western Style antique lettering. Which he beautifully did! Bright colors are still very bright. I have tried to show in my photos scratches and imperfections. There are a good number of those small-ish kinds of markings here and there. I personally don’t think that they take away from the beauty of the piece. This sign has lots of vintage character. NOT STICK-ON PLASTIC LETTERS. There is a photo of each of the four corners. Actual size is 8′ wide x 22 tall. The two matching (also hand-painted) separate end pieces – each about 1 foot wide – are included. So your total length for the sign with the two side pieces could be 10 FEET LONG if you choose. (Or 8 feet long as is). Completely and expertly hand-painted on aluminum, so there will never be any rust. All of the professional paints used were heavy-duty, very long-lasting, BRIGHT, AND VIVID outdoor paints. Rare Ladies & Childrens Hair Bobbing Porcelain double sided Flange Sign. Beautiful sign with outstanding original color and gloss. The display side has a very clean field with only minor age wear along the edges. The reverse displays equally well, with some age wear primarily around the flange edges. Overall an excellent example with strong, vibrant colors and great eye appeal on both sides.
