IT HUNG OUTSIDE A CHRYSLER/MOPAR PARTS WHOLESALER (MOTOR PARTS CENTRAL) FROM 1946 UNTIL REMOVED IN 1999. AT THAT TIME ALL THE NEON WAS REPLACED AS WELL AS THE BRACKETS/ELECTRICAL ETC ON THE BACK OF THE SIGN. NOTHING WAS TOUCHED ON THE FRONT FACE. ALL THE PORCELAIN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY A VERY FEW CHIPS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE SIGN AT ALL. THIS SIGN IS DATED BACK TO THE’40’S AND IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IS 50 FEET IN LENGTH! THIS IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND LIKE I SAID IS ALL ORIGINAL!! THE SIGN ITSELF IS MADE UP OF (5) 10′ SECTIONS. THE NEON WILL BE REMOVED AND HUNG FROM CHICKEN WIRE IN A CUSTOM BUILT CRATE AND HOPEFULLY ARRIVE UNDAMAGED. WORST CASE SCENARIO ANY DAMAGED NEON TUBES CAN BE REPLACED BY MOST PROFESSIONAL NEON SIGN COMPANIES IN YOUR AREA. THIS WAS MOVED BY A PROFESSIONAL SIGN COMPANY (AVERY SIGN COMPANY) IN SIOUX CITY, IOWA FROM THE ORIGINAL LOCATION (615 WATER STREET, SIOUX CITY, IOWA) TO OUR SHOWROOM WHERE IT HAS PROVIDED A PERFECT NIGHT LIGHT FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS. RARE Large Vintage Double Advertising Tydol and Veedol Gas and Oil Flange Sign. This is an uncommon dimensional sign. 12x11x1x about 7 to 10 wide flange lip to lip. Flange lips are a little warped from use and most likely removal. Minor restoration from tea vinegar mix, meticulously applied to help break up oil, dirt, and rust. Vintage 50s LEVIs Jeans Cardboard WINDOW Advertising SIGN 32 x 96 B. Very ultra rare advertising sign. Was originally 10ft because it had 1ft of blank paper on each side. The blank section were cut to mount onto the board. Sign has yellowing from age and some defects around the borders from age and being stapled to board. Some small rips or holes along borders but please inspect pics this is large and old and has wear. However the picture and important parts are in good condition. This had a frame before I took these pictures and it looked amazing. The colors are perfect. I believe the yellowing just adds to the age and charm/. Light rippling of paper from age but flattens out when framed. I honestly have been in love with this piece for a long time and just ready to pass it on to another who appreciates this rare items.
