Original and rare vintage, denim 1950s advertisement banner. This would have been hung in a shop window or on a wall to advertise that they sell Levis! The banner is tesla is denim with grommets to hang it up and the design is painted on. The history of this piece is unknown but was found in a garage in oklahoma city, ok. Levi’s made these banners called Sun Screens from the 1930s through the 1960s. There were about 5 different designs made in that era, which they gave to their retailers for advertising in their store. They also made a couple of different sizes, likely because not all stores had a lot of wall space. There are multiple spots or wear giving this piece a true vintage, worn in feel. Please, give all the pictures a look and ask any questions before purchasing. In the pictures, there are faded spots, paint splotches, dirt, and oil stains. I soaked and gently scrubbed this piece and hung (in the shade) to dry. The denim dimensions are approximately 74 ¾ W x 29 H.
