Up for sale is a 6ft Double Sided Original Porcelain Sign. Located Wayland MI 49348. Available for local pick-up. This sign is in good shape and has good gloss to it. It had been painted over in the past and the top coat was stripped off and the porcelain looks really good underneath. Could use a little more fine detail cleaning. This had been hanging in a older gentleman’s collection for years and he decided to part ways with it. Now here it is up for your consideration. I’m fairly open to offers but lets not be silly, these are getting hard to find and would be a great piece to add in someone’s collection. It does have a light crease in the middle of it. I tried to capture it in pictures but its hard to show that. You can see some spots where the green paint is left on it, mostly around the edge. Folks, here is a complete Sinclair sign package, all at NO RESERVE!! Sorry, the Sinclair truck is not part of this listing! I have held on to this sign & pole for a few years, thinking I would set it up in the back yard. With the everyday challenges of life, I have no idea when I will get to it. I’d like someone else to have it that will put it up and enjoy now! SIGN: SINCLAIR Double sided, porcelain, from 50’s / 60’s era. Sign comes with the original hanging rim complete with hanging hooks (very rare). 60″ wide x 44″ tall. Condition is as pictured. Not the best but still pretty nice & will hang and display very well. As pictured, the sign has a crinkle across the top portion, along with some missing paint. This adds character and will still look great up in the air! POLE: The pole is from an old gas station many years ago. It is 12 foot tall and 9 across at the bottom end. It has the popular vintage “fluted” design that everyone desires. TOP SECTION: Also included in this sale are the materials to fabricate the top section which will bolt to the fluted pole. Pictured is a sketch of what this pole would look like, The top portion to be fabricated is highlighted in yellow. Parts are as follows: 9″ round adaptor plate, 1/2″ thick steel. Laser cut with same hole pattern as top of fluted pole. X2 pieces of 5′ long 2.5″ square steel tubing, 3/16″ wall thickness. X1 piece of 5′ long 1.5″ square steel tubing, 1/8″ wall thickness. X4 steel gussets for support at bottom of top section. FINIAL : This is a vintage decorative (hard to find) finial to be mounted at the top of your pole. New pipe with vintage restored wall mount. Fitters and sockets still packaged. BOXES NOT INCLUDED IN LISTING. CATALOG PAGES NOT INCLUDED. 1949 Quadrangle Manufacturing Lighting Catalog. Discovered in the estate of a former Sinclair Gas Station owner, these lights lay dormant for decades. Removed from their hiding place and offered for sale to the discerning collector. I will wire the lights and install a 12 pipe and a restored vintage wall mount. The shades can face either towards the wall or away, to light a parking lot or bay or? The opening is 10 x 9 inches. The mount threads are 1/2 NPT. The condition of the lights is amazing, but there are chips here and there on about half of the lights. I believe we call that shelf-wear. I’ve identified five of these 10 lights that I can safely call near-mint with full labels and no visible chips, I will sell those five first. I call these (A+ condition). The next five have full or partial labels but will have a chip or two at most, I call these (A- condition). I have a couple more in excellent to near-mint condition with no decals. I call those (A- no decals). Boxes are not included. In the listing at this time as they are pictured for reference and provenance only. Most of the boxes literally. For the time being, I will place these boxes in my personal collection. All electrical items should be checked and installed by a professional electrician. I’m a very fast and careful shipper.
