Vintage, Original, 1944 Coca Cola Cardboard Sign, Large, WWII era, Our GI Joes

Since my interest is almost exclusively limited to certain Coke advertising pieces, most of the time I will have only one item up for sale at any one time. This sign is protected by an acrylic front and plastic trim, both of which can be easily removed. However, one of the previous owners used a piece of plywood as protective backing (see pic) and the sign seems to be permanently affixed to it. This shouldn’t present a problem for framing, it’s just something I want everyone to be aware of. The sign itself is 56″ x 27″, but measures 56.75″ x 27.75″, in the frame. Rare! Vintage 1956 Red Rose Coffee Sign 27.5 x 19 Embossed Metal Great Color

Great Old “RED ROSE COFFEE really fresh” Sign. Awesome Colors & Embossed Lettering Add Pop! Approx: 27.5″ W x 19″ H, Very Good Condition. 1956, Made In Canada. Really neat painted Red Rose Coffee metal sign with nice bold colors & raised lettering. Main portion of sign is very nice but has wear (some dings and peeling paint) around edges and on one R as shown in pictures. There are a few holes in near top of metal from previous hanging, but they are a fairly small (under 1/4 or so). We photographed in various lighting situations & angles to assist buyers with assessing condition. We obtained sign from a large private collection and made no attempts to clean sign, other than a gentle dusting. Red Rose Coffee was made by the Red Rose Tea Company of New Brunswick, Canada. The Tea Company opened in 1894, and introduced a coffee line in 1901. Not sure how long they made the coffee, but at least until this sign was made in 1956. Red Rose Tea Co continued in operation until 2018 when acquired by Harris Tea Co of New Jersey USA, but maintained branded label. Red Rose Tea was a leading tea company in Canada for over 100 years, also known for issuing figurines and pictural tea cards as collectibles for decades. We do this often. Vintage 60’s Hamm’s Piggy Bank. Just over a foot tall. Light bit of superficial wear to paint, left leg appears to have cracked at one point and been glued back together. Bit of gluey residue on the bottom of both feet. Was likely affixed to something at one point. Have not attempted to remove all of it but what little I did work at peeled away quite easily. This rare, beautiful and stunning high quality custom hand made Burger King Mirror came out of the home of an executive employee of Burger King who received this as a gift upon his retirement from corporate life with Burger King. I don’t know how old this is but my guess is that it is from the 80 or 90’s. I took a peek behind the paper on the back (see photo) and you can see that this was hand created with paint applied to the back of the glass/mirror you can see signs of some form of a stencil cut-out (see photo). Not sure if this was ever in a restaurant or was just made for corporate headquarter use. Since I don’t see any others on the internet, I will assume it was more a headquarters used sign/mirror. This is a very heavy mirror that is framed in a solid wood black lacquered painted frame. It was very well made/put together so that it would not come apart from the weight of the heavy glass mirror. The outside black frame measures a square 27 inches tall by 27 inches wide. There are no chips or breaks to the mirror. Black wood frame has no chips/breaks. This mirror is quite beautiful and has somewhat of a “Pop Art” look to it. Will look great with all kinds of decor. Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire this very rare BK Mirror.
