Antique / Vintage Advertising Wall Thermometer. DRINK Royal Crown Cola, REG. BEST BY TASTE, (the logo says) A PRODUCT OF NEHI CORPORATION, #512 (DONASCO sign co) 9-1951. It is a beautiful authentic thermometer sign. This nice sign was made in the U. 67 years ago and it is still in great working condition. The graphics are good and clear, the paint colors are faded and the glass tub works well. See photos for more details, this nice piece is made of metal and all original. The measurements are 25 3/4″ tall x 9 3/4″ wide x 1/2 deep, It is getting more difficult to find these old thermometer signs in any condition. I have 77 different pieces, most are very old (rare) and in excellent condition. I have put some photos in my listing to show you what’s coming, you will never see a nicer collection or a greater variety. Rare Vintage Purina Chows Metal Sign Farm Feed and Seed Cow, Pig Swine, Chicken
I have enjoyed owning this very rare Purina sign for nearly 30 years, but have downsized and no longer have room to display it. I have found some small collectibles that have miniature versions of this sign on them, including a tie clip or bar, that came out about 1959 or 1960. Purina also started using the phrase “Serving animal agriculture” in articles and ads at that time. That is why I have dated it accordingly. This is not a reproduction, and would be a great add to any collection! I would be interested to know if anybody has seen this sign before or has information about it. The sign is metal with a raised panel in the center for the animal heads. The edge is curved. The gold circle with “Serving Animal Agriculture” and the animal graphics, has been printed on, and you can feel the raised dots with your fingers. The background of the animal heads and the rest of the sign, is either a thick paint or an enamel, and is very smooth. Please see the pictures. The sign measures 19.5″ by 23.5″. It was probably cut a 20″ by 24″, but the rolled edge reduced it’s size. It is a thick metal, nothing flimsy about it. Don’t wait for the last day to contact me!
