Very rare and beautiful, ca1930 Reverse-On-Glass Advertising Sign for “Webster Cigars” featuring a wonderful portrait of American Statesman Daniel Webster. This wonderful, Reverse on Glass Sign measures 11 1/2″ by 15 1/2″ including its original, wood frame. The Sign was manufactured for display at a Tobacco or Cigar Shop and features a stunningly beautiful, reverse painted portrait of Daniel Webster along with text that reads “Agency For / Special Seleccion / Webster Cigars”. The Sign extensively uses gold gilt paints and the portrait of Daniel Webster is executed using rich and warm earth tones. This very rare and stunningly beautiful, Webster Cigars Reverse-On-Glass Advertising Sign is in excellent condition – the reverse-on-glass painting and gilt lettering are bright and beautiful is in very good condition as you can see from the photos. The original wood frame is also well preserved but does exhibit some light wear.
