Rare Vintage BURGER KING Mirror Sign Corporate HQ Restaurant Advertising Custom

This rare, beautiful and stunning high quality custom hand made Burger King Mirror came out of the home of an executive employee of Burger King who received this as a gift upon his retirement from corporate life with Burger King. I don’t know how old this is but my guess is that it is from the 80 or 90’s. I took a peek behind the paper on the back (see photo) and you can see that this was hand created with paint applied to the back of the glass/mirror you can see signs of some form of a stencil cut-out (see photo). Not sure if this was ever in a restaurant or was just made for corporate headquarter use. Since I don’t see any others on the internet, I will assume it was more a headquarters used sign/mirror. This is a very heavy mirror that is framed in a solid wood black lacquered painted frame. It was very well made/put together so that it would not come apart from the weight of the heavy glass mirror. The outside black frame measures a square 27 inches tall by 27 inches wide. There are no chips or breaks to the mirror. Black wood frame has no chips/breaks. This mirror is quite beautiful and has somewhat of a “Pop Art” look to it. Will look great with all kinds of decor. Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire this very rare BK Mirror. This sign well used in SF Bay Area as point of sale signage. This sign is made of some sort of plastic, acrylic or Plexiglas.. Beautiful colors a sign of the hippie and psychedelic era! A piece of history! This sign is used and shows sign of wear. Please see all the pictures to decide condition. And while researching this item for listing, all the listings I found included this to be “Peter Max” but I found this excerpt from an article from “dangerousminds. Net”. In 1967 ad execs at J. Walter Thompson Company in Chicago pitched a radical repositioning of 7Up as a way of reviving dormant sales of the drinkthe idea was to capture the new hippie market for 7Up. The new nickname for the drink was to be The Uncola and if youre older than about 50, youll have no trouble remembering that name and possibly a memorable series of TV spots starring Geoffrey Holder. Rare Vintage British Leyland Lighted Hanging Sign Jaguar MG Land Rover Mini

A very rare original vintage double sided hanging lighted sign for British Leyland Exhaust Emission Service. A great item for your garage or man cave, for car enthusiasts and fans/owners of Jaguar, Land Rover, MG or Mini. Sign measures inches 10 inches tall by 37.5 long by 4 inches deep. Important Condition Description : Nice cosmetic condition overall with some surface wear and yellowing of the plastic mostly on one side (see photo #4 for the side that has yellowed). No cracks or chips to the plastic (surface wear/scratches here and there only but no gouges or paint loss to the logos). The light does not come on when plugged in. I easily opened the sign by removing the middle metal bracket on the left hand quadrant of the sign in-between the 2 pieces of sign plastic (the plastic sign can then be lifted out in 2 pieces that were held down by the metal bracket). I have replaced the fluorescent tube as well as the starter, but this did not fix the problem. You can hear a pinging noise when plugged in and the starter flashes with the pinging, but the light does not go on – the fluorescent tube glass heats up a little near the ends, so something is getting to the tube, but no light. This sign will come with the new installed tube and starter. The rest will be up to you. Vintage SYLVANIA TV Lighted Clock/Sign by TEL-A-SIGN. However looking at the sign I believe everything is original and it is in great shape. Since the Slimline 110 TV came out in the early 50s I believe that is the age of the sign. The sign is made by Tel-A- Sign of Chicago Illinois. The clock is a Lanshire self starting clock. At the top, the sign is a little under 29 inches across. The clock itself is a little bit less than 9 1/2 inches in diameter. From top of the sign to the bottom of it is a little over 15 inches. It is about 4 1/2 inches thick. The sign has two different ways to hang it as well. You can hang it from the top or you can put anchors in the wall and mount it that way.
