Here is a great piece that you do not see often, or even ever, I believe the General Petroleum Cooperation merged with Socony at one point and I’m guessing the sign is from that period. I have decided to sell it along with a few other pieces I have collected. The sign is porcelain, and there is the large graphic of Pegasus at the top and center. The lower area on both sides has the advertising wording on it. On side 2 at the point at the bottom, there is some of the smaller fine print still there, with some sort of a letter first, along with a date of 9-29. Here is a great sign to add to the collection, the sign has some porcelain chips and some surface rust, overall still a great sign. The first 4 photos are of side 1 and the next 4 are of side 2, with the last being a close up of the smaller fine print wording at the bottom tip. The signs measures 48 inches wide and 48 inches tall. (I have a white inventory sticker on the sign in front of Pegasus’s mouth).
