IT HUNG OUTSIDE A CHRYSLER/MOPAR PARTS WHOLESALER (MOTOR PARTS CENTRAL) FROM 1946 UNTIL REMOVED IN 1999. AT THAT TIME ALL THE NEON WAS REPLACED AS WELL AS THE BRACKETS/ELECTRICAL ETC ON THE BACK OF THE SIGN. NOTHING WAS TOUCHED ON THE FRONT FACE. ALL THE PORCELAIN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY A VERY FEW CHIPS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE SIGN AT ALL. THIS SIGN IS DATED BACK TO THE’40’S AND IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IS 50 FEET IN LENGTH! THIS IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND LIKE I SAID IS ALL ORIGINAL!! THE SIGN ITSELF IS MADE UP OF (5) 10′ SECTIONS. THE NEON WILL BE REMOVED AND HUNG FROM CHICKEN WIRE IN A CUSTOM BUILT CRATE AND HOPEFULLY ARRIVE UNDAMAGED. WORST CASE SCENARIO ANY DAMAGED NEON TUBES CAN BE REPLACED BY MOST PROFESSIONAL NEON SIGN COMPANIES IN YOUR AREA. THIS WAS MOVED BY A PROFESSIONAL SIGN COMPANY (AVERY SIGN COMPANY) IN SIOUX CITY, IOWA FROM THE ORIGINAL LOCATION (615 WATER STREET, SIOUX CITY, IOWA) TO OUR SHOWROOM WHERE IT HAS PROVIDED A PERFECT NIGHT LIGHT FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS. For your consideration a vintage 1940’s Mopar sign. The sign is made of metal and is double sided. It measures 24″ in width by 17″ in height with a 2 flange mount. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign. Sign is in good condition one side is way better than the other side. Small amount of white paint spilled on it at one point could be cleaned off but i didn’t want remove to take a chance of damaging this classic mopar sign.
