Has terrific hand painted detailing along with a great carved out “GONE FISHING” on one side only. Does have hanging eye hooks installed on top side of fish. It measures approximately 19 3/4 inches length by 5 3/4 inches height by 1 1/2 inches thick. It has wonderful folk art appeal. It is in great vintage condition. Does have one sliver of wood missing on rear fin on one side. Doesn’t show from opposite side. Great decor for trophy room, man cave, camp, cottage & avid fisherman. MASSIVE CARVED WOOD FISH FLY FISHING LODGE CABIN TROUT SALMON SCULPTURE FOLK ART. YouTube video of the fish to show the scale. THICK and MASSIVE and HEAVY!! THIS IS A WORLD RECORD CATCH!! This is an enormous one of a kind custom crafted solid wood carved fish. Most likely this was carved in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s and is made of thick heavy plank wood possibly reclaimed from an old schooner. The piece was acquired from a wealthy estate overlooking the Mystic River in CT. The fish resembles a salmon or a rainbow trout. AMAZING one of a kind showpiece, it could be the focal point of your home, restaurant, or business. It is extremely heavy and has heavy duty ropes strung through to hang from a ceiling. I would estimate this piece weighs around 250 pounds. The fish will need a few touch ups here and there. It would make an excellent addition to any collection. I do not know how old the barber pole is. I do not know if it would be considered antique, vintage or a reproduction of some kind. The barber pole measures approximately 22 inches in height. The diameter of the base is about 3 ¾ inches. As pictured, the barber pole have a primitive appearance and shows extreme surface wear including cracks, chips, scratches, stains, discoloration, paint loss, paint blemishes and other scattered imperfections. Circa 1920s, hand made Open Closed folk art store sign. Not including hooks, it measures.. 12 1/4 inches across 9 1/4″ inches top to bottom 1 1/4″ inches thick Due to its ageing I have not taken it apart to clean inside but I’m thinking the inside filler that separates the two sides, sounds like the filling in an old car seat, I’m very curious. The face of each side is a thick plexiglass so i know the signs could be replaced with new, if you choose to do so. It’s fairly heavy, maybe 10 lbs. View the photos, feel free to ask questions. Vintage Folk Art Beer Whirligig Advertising Sign Weather Vane Shipping Available

This is a beer drinker whirligig. The whirligig man would drink his beer as the wind would blow, his bottle would raise and lower. The blades that drove the gears that made him move are gone, we have added a crank handle to move the man. The man is cut out of wood and painted with a old surface, note the marble used for an eye. The beer sign is painted on tin with a nice old surface. The frame is iron as are the gears, there are oil pots on the movements to keep him operating smoothly. He is mounted on an iron stand with 11 legs, he stands very sturdy. A large amazing piece of folk art all hand made but done very well. The condition of both painted sides is very good, he must not have been outside for an extended period. The whirligig is 40 3/4″ long x 48″ tall and the wood is 7/16 thick. A piece of Folk Art or Outsider art if you will but a very interesting subject. Definitely a one of a kind piece made sometime in the early to mid 1900’s. Possibly stood outside a pub or stumble bar to entice patrons to enter.
