This 1960’s era steel double-sided Firestone sign measures a whopping 29 1/2′ wide and just under 10′ tall. Featuring the signature bowtie shape and flame-style lettering popular in Firestone’s 1960’s advertisements, this sign has a red background with white trim and border. This was formerly a neon sign, however, the tubing has been removed. This sign is in good condition for its age, showing wear and weathering from exposure to the elements for an extended period. Huge Vintage 1950’s Chevrolet 2 Sided 25′ Neon Porcelain Metal Gas Oil Sign

For your consideration a vintage 1950’s sign. The sign is made of metal and is double sided. The signs have a porcelain finish and are made to be neon lit. The glass neon tubes for the letters are missing. Each side has three porcelain panels that make up Chevrolet. The transformers look to be complete and the body of the sign is still in good condition. The porcelain signs are still in good condition and there is no touch up. They could use a good cleaning. It measures overall with the mounting brackets 45″ in depth by 285″ in height. The body with the porcelain signs measures 280 1/2″ in height by 34″ in depth by 14 1/2 in width. The hanging bracket on the top measures 42 across. I can store the sign for as long as needed as long as it is paid for. It is in Crawfordsville, Indiana zip code 47933. It originally hung in front of City Chevrolet in Chicago’s famous auto row. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign and a great piece of history.
