A very rare original vintage double sided hanging lighted sign for British Leyland Exhaust Emission Service. A great item for your garage or man cave, for car enthusiasts and fans/owners of Jaguar, Land Rover, MG or Mini. Sign measures inches 10 inches tall by 37.5 long by 4 inches deep. Important Condition Description : Nice cosmetic condition overall with some surface wear and yellowing of the plastic mostly on one side (see photo #4 for the side that has yellowed). No cracks or chips to the plastic (surface wear/scratches here and there only but no gouges or paint loss to the logos). The light does not come on when plugged in. I easily opened the sign by removing the middle metal bracket on the left hand quadrant of the sign in-between the 2 pieces of sign plastic (the plastic sign can then be lifted out in 2 pieces that were held down by the metal bracket). I have replaced the fluorescent tube as well as the starter, but this did not fix the problem. You can hear a pinging noise when plugged in and the starter flashes with the pinging, but the light does not go on – the fluorescent tube glass heats up a little near the ends, so something is getting to the tube, but no light. This sign will come with the new installed tube and starter. The rest will be up to you.
