Up for sale is a vintage 1940s John Bean Visualiner alignment rack cabinet. These were used as the backdrop for the light beams to help align the steering on vehicles. I believe this is one of the cooler cabinets as there is no workbench in the middle. You can display this in your shop, garage, or basement and it fits up snug to the wall. It measures 137″ long, 69″ tall, and 15 deep. All of the sheetmetal is solid except for some of the base. It has some rust as seen in the pictures. The rest of the sheetmetal is solid, it will just need some metal work. No major damage, just dents and a little bit of stretching from being moved around. These can dent easily as the backsides are open. You see some of the workbenches with damage from cars getting to close and hitting them. None of that happened with this one. It will some of the hardware replaced and realigned to get all the doors to close. I have one of the ad glass that says “steering”. It has a clean break and is in two pieces. I also have the other piece of stainless that goes along the top. However, at some point in its life, it came off, and someone folded it over two times. A good stainless guy can probably save it.
