THIS IS A NEW OLD STOCK EMBOSSED TIN TACKER PAN-DANDY BREAD ADVERTISING SIGN WITH GOOD COLORS AND GRAPHICS THAT MEASURES APPROX 27 3/4” WIDE BY 9 1/2” TALL. ITS A NEW OLD STOCK SIGN WITH SOME MINOR CREASES AND PAINT FADING FROM AGE. BUT NO HOLES WHERE IT WAS EVER HUNG UP. ITS DATED 1926 AND IT WAS MADE BY SCHULZE ADVERTISING SERVICE BAKERY ADVERTISING CHICAGO, ILL. THE LAST PICTURE SHOWS ANOTHER PAN DANDY BREAD SIGN THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR SALE ON MY E BAY PAGE AND ITS NEW OLD STOCK SIGN IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. PAN- DANDY BREAD WAS INVENTED BY THE GEORGE O. KOLB BAKERY OF HARTFORD CONNECTICUT AND IT WAS PRODUCED UNTILL 1923 WHEN IT WAS BOUGHT OUT BY THE GENERAL BAKING COMPANY. Sign in good shape for age. It was stored in father-in-law’s basement and our own basement since at least 1966. Father-In-Law was supervisor for Wonder Bread store and truck route in OH. There are some marks in the body of sign and rust around some edges. Sign was stored with dark paper over the face and not sure it was ever displayed but cannot be sure that it was not displayed.
