Heavy cardboard construction, stand 63 tall. Condition is as seen – has some edge wear, on the reverse its missing the standing up portion on the bottom, overall good shape. Vintage Nike JUST DO IT Advertising Retail Display Sign. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES : Backlit Florescent Display, 2 molded loops mounted on top of box for hanging from ceiling in retail setting. CONDITION : Great Condition, no major scratches or paint loss. A few light bumps and minor wear consistent with age but overall great condition and nothing that takes away from its use in the intended retail environment. Especially great given the likelihood it is nearly 30 years old! DIMENSIONS : H 5.625 in. X L 26.25 D 5.75 in. NOTES : The displayed JUST DO IT logo version started in 1988. There is no direct markings is dating the sign. The backlit light components are vintage. I have had this in my possession prior to this recent 2018 re release of the same logo design celebrating the 30. Anniversary of JUST DO IT. Because of the anniversary. I found it to be an appropriate time to part with this piece of Nike History. I know this will be a valued and unique piece given its history and rarity. ABOUT JUST DO IT: In 1988, one of the worlds most recognizable slogans was coined. It was an ode to fitness and courage that has since inspired athletes across the globe to run faster, jump higher, and push past their potential, no matter the obstacles in their path. Was also part of an aggressive marketing. This year, 2018, the tagline turned 30. This is Listing is set to quote USA 50 states addresses only. Sign in good shape for age. It was stored in father-in-law’s basement and our own basement since at least 1966. Father-In-Law was supervisor for Wonder Bread store and truck route in OH. There are some marks in the body of sign and rust around some edges. Sign was stored with dark paper over the face and not sure it was ever displayed but cannot be sure that it was not displayed.
