Wonderful antique metal sign from the 1930s/1940s. This sign is porcelain on both sides, which is unique. This sign came out of a barn find in Connecticut from a large estate liquidation sale. The sign is thick die cut steel coated in white porcelain. It does have some, what looks to be bullet holes and some rust and pitting. This sign I was told was hung on the side of a dairy barn here in Connecticut for 60 years, before the barn was taken down and the sign placed indoors. The sign measures 20″ x 9″. Please see all photos for quality details. This sign has wonderful “real use patina” that adds so much charm. Think about the young boys back in the day taking crack shots at it with their. The sign is heavy and secure, there are no holes that go through the sign, other than the (2) for the nails to hang it. This would look amazing in a country store, or country home, even back on the farm. Great history, that’s becoming exceedingly hard to find these days.
