Original Vintage Early Antique POST OFFICE Wood Painted Sign Advertising 75

What a fantastic find from Minnesota. Prior owner mentioned sign was from Paynesville, MN. It was one of 3 original signs that were salvaged from a building. Not sure exactly of age? It appears to be from the 50’s, maybe earlier. The building had a Post Office, Garage (Automotive) and a Grocery store. This is solid wood. Not sure what type of wood or what it was previously. The early sign maker recycled what appears to me to me old siding or flooring. Not sure but maybe you can tell by the pictures, especially the reverse side. Its a great piece of history. Measures: 75″ long, 8″ wide and 1.25 thick.

Nice solid vintage shape. Shows normal wear and age. Has some paint loss and chipping towards the bottom. Has loads of character. Displays very well as it is, but may clean up some. Measures roughly 35.5×24. See pictures to make your own determination on physical condition.

Vintage 1950’s Fanny Farmer Candies Smalt Wood Advertising Sign

Founded in 1919 by Frank O’Connor in Rochester, New York, Fanny Farmer quickly grew into the largest manufacturing retailer of candy in The United States with more than 400 locations. This incredibly rare two sided smalt wood sign out of Auburn, New York, one of their earliest expansion locations and just an hour from the original factory, features white text over a black front. Overall in excellent condition. Age expected weathering with semi worn edges. Font clear to read with just enough patina. Smalt signs scratch and ware easily making it even more remarkable that this sign survived. Late 1940’s to early 1950’s.
