Vtg 2-Sided Porcelain Metal PHILLIPS 66 Advertising Sign 29 x 29.75 Original

This great double sided Phillips 66 sign is in very nice vintage condition, with some expected wear commensurate to age and use. Sign comes from a private collection, and is a wonderful estate find. There is a bit of enamel fading on one side (pictures 9 and 11), and some typical surface wear/marks that do not detract from how well this sign displays. There is some enamel loss here and there, moreso on the 2 side hanger holes, as seen in the pictures. Those same side hanger holes have some dings and bending (pictures 4, 5, and 12). Sign measures 29-3/4″ x 29″. Please examine all pictures carefully, and do not hesitate to ask for more specific pictures. Take note that there is some lighting glare in some areas. Original Vintage 1956 Phillips 66 Porcelain Sign 70 Oil & Gas Advertising Sign

A really nice Phillips 66 sign dated 1956 that has been stored on my wall for over 20 years. It is a rare size, measuring 70″ x 70″. The first three photos are of the front which shows very well. There has been some touch up to the front of the sign, but it is almost impossible to see unless you get up close. I would guess it was professionally done. The last three photos of the sign are of the back of the sign. It has not been touched up and does not display as well as the front. This is sign is not perfect, by any means, but the front shows very well and would make a great display piece. It has been displayed in my garage for many years. Colors are bright and very good. Please let me know if you want to see close ups or need more information. This is sign is used, it is certainly not perfect, but the front is very, very nice. If you come and don’t like it we can cancel the sale. I will work with you any way that I can. Here is a great piece that you do not see often. I have decided to sell it along with a few other pieces I have collected. The sign is diecut shield design, with the large wording of Phillips across the top and the offset numbering of 66 in the lower center. In the lower right sides of the sign, there is the smaller fine print of a makers mark of SPS-54. Here is a great sign to add to the collection, the sign has some porcelain chips here and there, but as seen in the photos nothing too serious. I do have both sides photoed, the first three of side one and the last three of side two. The signs measure 30 inches wide and 30 inches tall.
